South America presents unique challenges for air cargo charters, primarily due to traffic rights and long flight durations.  Many aircraft lack the necessary traffic rights to operate in certain South American countries.

For instance, in May of this year, we encountered a situation where an aircraft initially seemed suitable for a South American charter but lacked the required navigation system for the destination country.  Installing the system would necessitate reapplying for traffic rights, a potentially time-consuming process.

This highlights the complexities of operating in South America.  Freight forwarders need in-depth knowledge of traffic rights, aircraft capabilities, and local regulations to navigate these challenges successfully.
