Air cargo charters have diverse operating modes.

During the pandemic, global cargo planes flocked to China to transport pandemic-related supplies. With their professional setups and large capacities, they efficiently delivered supplies worldwide.

The “passenger-to-cargo conversion” mode involves transforming passenger planes. Seats usually remain, and both upper and lower compartments are used for cargo. Large planes’ lower compartments can carry 20 – 30 tons, and the upper ones can hold dozens of tons by using seats, aisles, luggage racks, or legroom. This mode filled the gap in freight capacity during the pandemic.
