In 2023, NCL Team faced a major freight challenge: transporting 80 sets of wind power equipment from Nansha to Chile. The shipment weighed over 2,000 metric tons and occupied 15,000 cubic meters. The toughest hurdle was moving 240 ultra-long blades, each stretching 118 meters and indivisible—testing the limits of maritime loading and pushing land transport to its brink.

For sea transport, safely securing these oversized blades required abandoning traditional stacking. After extensive calculations and discussions with shipping companies, the team devised a frame-supported solution. Each vessel carried only 32 blades to prevent excessive height, ensuring stability during the voyage.

Land transport in Chile proved even more daunting. Navigating winding mountain roads with tight turns, low bridges, and narrow passages demanded constant route adjustments. The team coordinated with local authorities to remove obstacles and reinforce bridges.

Under close escort and monitoring, the colossal blades inched forward slowly but surely to their destination.
