Many enterprises ask:“What can a forwarder do for our bids?”answer: Solve problems others can’t—like“delivering construction materials in busy downtown areas.”

Last year, we worked on a metro project in a“Middle Eastern version of Huaqiangbei”(a busy commercial district) where daytime truck access was banned. The client was stuck:“If we can’t deliver during the day,do we deliver at night? But workers rest at night.”We did three things: 1. Applied for“nighttimetransport permits”(proving we’d only deliver to the site entrance); 2. Secured a“temporarystorage yard”(to transfer cargo from the port to the yard before nighttime delivery); 3.Agreed on“nighttime unloading hours”(1–3 AM, when workers switch shifts).

The client won the bid because the评委(judges) said:“Your solution is more practical.”Project logistics bids aren’t about“low freight”—they’re about“problem-solving ability.”

Our advice: Involve forwarders in bid proposal design—they know local traffic rules, port efficiency, and customs processes. They’ll turn“paper plans”into“actionable solutions.”Winning bids means“thinking one step ahead.”
