Last year, we shipped NEV production line equipment with lithium batteries—we chose a regular airline without checking its certification. The cargo was held at the airport: “This airline lacks lithium battery transportation资质 (certification).” We had to reapply for a certified airline, delaying delivery by 30 days.  

We now follow two rules for lithium battery shipments:  

1. Choose airlines with lithium battery certification (check IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations).  

2. Apply 30 days in advance—certification takes time; don’t wait until cargo is ready.  

This year, we shipped lithium battery equipment to Europe—we booked a certified airline 2 months early. The client said: “You’re much more reliable this time.”  

Our advice: Confirm certification in advance—don’t skip key steps for speed.
