Many think project logistics is just “moving stuff”—until we faced shipping a 3000-ton power cable to a 1200-meter-high substation in Africa. It’s not about strength—it’s about problem-solving.  

The route had a decades-old bridge with a 2000-ton capacity, but our truck + cable weighed 2500 tons. Our solution:  

– Build a temporary floating bridge with buoys (3500-ton capacity).  

– Split the cable into two sections to reduce weight.  

We worked with hydrologists to calculate water flow and adjust buoy spacing, then deployed two escort boats to stabilize the bridge. When the cable crossed, the client’s engineer said: “Logistics isn’t ‘pulling goods’—it’s a technical craft.”

Advice: For large power projects, involve logistics providers 6 months early to assess route obstacles (e.g., bridge capacity) and design technical fixes.
